Jean Baronnat wine merchant
At the end of the nineteen seventies, I entered the family business. After having won my spurs as a representative, i took responsability for the cellars, then the administration and marketing side. I selected my first Cuvees which I bottled in 1982 - of course my fther was there. Then, for a few years, we bought the wines together. Since the end of nineteen eighties, i have been in sole charge of this work, which is vital for our business. It was in fact at that time that the wines from the Mediterrean Coast firstapperd in our selection of wines ; Costieres de Nimes, Coteaux du languedoc, "Vin de Pays" regional wines.

My father taught me all I know about wine when he made me taste Cuvees which he had selected, and also the work of findind and blending wines, which we did together.
The wines in the 2012 guide
Superb 2009  " Moulin a vent " , a great wine for intense color, although classical, firm and spicy, with powerful tannins, but tasty, with a dense texture, custody.
The 2009 Fleurie combines the finesse and structure, with tannins in both rich and silky.
The 2009 Morgon, dark ruby??-colored, fleshy nose overripe fruit (raspberry, blackcurrant) and humus, is a wine we like, good structure, fat, powerful palate, elegant and very fragrant, very successful.
With nuanced flavors, the 2009 Saint Amour is cherry red color, nose of currant, while on the palate, round and fleshy at once, both rich and seductive.
Pretty Beaujolais Rosé 2010.
Try also the white Mâcon Solutré Pouilly 2009, combining smoothness and structure, good roundness and a bouquet with notes of white flowers and lemon, and red 2009 Costieres de Nimes, a wine with these notes very characteristic and persistent plum, smoke and spices.
